Quiltworx – Cosmic Shimmer

I’m hooked on Quiltworx patterns with Tula Pink fabrics.   

This quilt makes me so happy.  If a magical fairy threw up on cotton, this is what I imagined the fabric to be:  Cheerful, colourful and fun.    

I bought the kit from Quilting From the Heart in Camrose, Alberta, Canada.  

After finishing the centre star, I didn’t want the fun to end.  So I decided to make it larger.   I used Quiltster for the first time and spent hours picking my own colours and borders.  Why hours?  It wasn’t hard, it was addictive fun!  I think I just like colouring? 

In the end, it was between the Sunbeam and Princess Tiara expansion borders.  I picked Sunbeam.  Quiltster gave me the fabric requirements and I ordered everything from the quilt store.  I appreciated how easy Quiltster it is to use and the great service from Kathleen and Roger at quilt store.
